The accommodations were beautiful - tents are amazing! Cruising on the river was definitely a highlight. Thank you to all the staff for their hospitality and kindness.

All the game drives were fabulous but the highlight had to be seeing lions and a leopard close up. Thanks to Mullah, our guide.

We had a wonderful time at Ila, it is really a newest and five star lodge. We liked the entire central area (boma) and the Electric boat, one of its kind in Zambia. Early morning game drive with Moses was superb as we saw large herds of buffalo totalling more than 130, lots of elephants, zebra and antelopes. It is a perfect place.

I have to compliment you on what you guys have built and are building there as it is an absolutely wonderful experience where not only are the tents and main building world class but it is backed up by great food and wonderful friendly service. I have to yet go to any lodge where the rapport between the guests and staff can match or even get close to what I observed during my time at Ila.

As I arrived at Ila Safari Lodge it looked quite impressive, but gives no idea of what is behind those sandbag walls! As I walked up the entrance walkway I was awed by the fabulous, elegant and spacious main area of the lodge, all under a stunning thatched roof, with a beautiful view of the Kafue River. It is definitely the most modern and elegant lodge I have stayed at, with unique, stylish, sophisticated seating areas, an innovative deck and fire pit. My tent was gorgeous, comfortable, light and airy, with feather duvets and pillows which kept the chill out as I snuggled down to sleep serenaded by a multitude of hippos. The laundry service was excellent. Ila's team are smart, attentive and professional and provide excellent service. Each morning I was woken up with the delivery of a flask of hot water, enabling me to make a cafe-presse coffee to enjoy on the deck as the sun rose. The meals were delicious and interesting. Moses was my guide - extremely knowledgable and interesting, always making sure all his guests were comfortable. He knows his stuff! I especially enjoyed my three activities on the e-boat - what a great experience. The highlight of my trip happened on the last morning ... I think it's meant to be kept a surprise ...

My 'day stay' at Ila was wonderful, it is in a fantastic location, alongside the Kafue river with Kafue National Park on the opposite bank. Lying in the infinity pool, watching the elephants drink on the other side was delightful. Almost as delightful as the lamb curry I had for lunch! But what I love most about this place is it is so GREEN!! And I don't mean just in the rainy season, I mean ECO green... From being completely solar powered to the refillable glass water bottles every detail to reduce their footprint has been taken.

Had a great weekend at Ila Safari Lodge in Kafue National Park, Zambia. The accommodation is in luxury tents and each is tastefully appointed and located with great views of the Kafue River. Coming to the green part - the boat is powered by solar and as such low noise emission, one of the game drive vehicles is battery operated therefore minimum on the environment. All lighting at the lodge is by Solar. Very soon the lodge will produce biogas from natural resources within their locale. I was super impressed with the green models in place.

Back in the Kafue! It's been 5 years since I've been in Kafue National Park and it's still such an amazing place. Ila Safari Lodge is so much more luxurious and relaxing than any of the lodges I know, it's unbelievable. The photos on the website give a great impression of the lodge, but they're not worthy of the ambience. Every single staff member is so friendly and helpfull, they're al very willing to share their knowledge and help you where they can. I couldn't think of a better place to stay than Ila Safari Lodge.

I had an awesome time at beautiful and amazing Ila Safari Lodge found in Kafue National Park. it was really hard for me to leave this beautiful Lodge and get back home. Apart from the Lodge being beautiful including the rooms, it has great views of the Kafue River. I enjoyed game drives, boat cruise on their beautiful electric boat as well as the bush breakfast!

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the magnificent Ila Safari Lodge, in the Kafue National Park, for two nights in July 2016. What a fabulous lodge on every level. The staff, food, accommodation, setting is just perfect! The tents, which are on a stilted platform, overlooking the beautiful Kafue River, are totally luxurious, with little details such as hot water bottles in your bed for the chilly winter evenings, amazing hot water showers, plus a romantic outside bath on my private deck. The food is something else, from the delicious home made carrot cake served at tea time, accompanied by a selection of home made ice-teas and lemonade to the bar snacks served at sun down! Just delicious. Every meal is presented beautifully by the most attentive waiting staff. Everything about Ila Safari Lodge was just five star and the staff were totally attentive to our every need. There is so much more I could say but all in all it just has to be experienced first hand. Going to sleep with lions roaring in the distance was just the cherry on the cake!!!

We stayed too short a time at the gorgeous Ila Safari Lodge in July. This is a wonderful place for people who have been on safari before and can appreciate something out of the ordinary. Beginner safari enthusiast would love it too, but they wouldn't appreciate how lucky they are to be here!! The architecture is refreshingly different to the usual safari camp design. It is the deck which instantly impresses; it is a simply stunning design and using a gentle curve makes you feel instantly welcomed somehow. The artwork and sculptures add to the interest. It's not fussy though, the exact opposite!
