Sindabezi Island Gets Its Own Launch Site 

We are thrilled to announce the opening of Sindabezi Island’s brand-new launch site, designed to streamline your journey to our Zambezi island paradise. Best of all, guests will now be able to reach our barefoot paradise after dark, which has never been possible before. 

From now on, guests will bypass the detour through Tongabezi and embark directly on a scenic Zambezi River cruise to Sindabezi Island from our private jetty. The car journey from the Livingstone airport to the launch site is similar to the journey to Tongabezi and only diverges just before you reach the river. The new jetty sits downstream of Tongabezi, skilfully avoiding the shallow waters and rapids that emerge in the dry season. The boat drive from the launch site to the island is between four and ten minutes long, depending on whether the guests wish to slow down and spot birds and wildlife on their way. 

No More Late Flight Concerns

Sindabezi Island is now accessible for those arriving for a Victoria Falls holiday during or after sunset due to delayed or evening flights or late activities (such as the unforgettable lunar rainbow). 

Our expert guides have meticulously tested the Zambezi River route in various conditions, including nighttime navigation, ensuring your safety and comfort all year round. Plus, our Director is set to personally experience this enchanting night route in March during the high waters.

The Best of Tongabezi is Still Within Reach

Although your journey to and from Sindabezi starts differently, the wonders of Tujatane Trust School and the lush Tongabezi fruit and vegetable garden remain open for exploration. Sindabezi Island guests will now enter through the main entrance of Tujatane instead of through Tongabezi. While all guests will primarily use this new launch site, we’re more than happy to accommodate special requests for departures from Tongabezi main.

Upon arrival at the new launch site, our lovely Sindabezi manager will greet you, accompanying you on a Zambezi River cruise to the island. A warm welcome awaits, with refreshing welcome drinks and a smooth check-in process.
