The Swahili origins of the word ‘safari’ allude to a journey. The spirit of a safari, we believe, is about exploring, connecting, and immersing yourself in Africa in all her many forms, feelings, and spaces. There is no one recipe for a true safari.
We named ourselves Green Safaris not for the traditional safari experience only, but for all journeys and magical discoveries within Africa, whether they be at the beach or in the bush.
So here are a few versions of a safari that you may not recognize as such, but that we know you are secretly looking for. Celebrate love and romance on the sun-kissed beaches of Lake Malawi, go on a family adventure in the pristine Kafue wilderness, unwind with friends on the banks of Zambezi River – come and live your dream safari with us.
While we don’t believe in one definition of a safari, we do appreciate that for many people Africa’s wild heart is experienced a certain way.
If you’re looking for the traditional safari experience, this is where we think you should visit us first:
Kafue National Park, the largest and oldest park in Zambia, is one of the last great expanses of remote and unspoiled wilderness in Africa. The possibility of a wildlife moment awaits you around the next tree or bend in the Kafue River.
DestinationSouth Luangwa National Park is part of the Luangwa Valley, which is characterised by dramatic seasonal changes, lush vegetation and prolific wildlife that thrive alongside the Luangwa River. This complex ecosystem is one of Zambia’s wildest and offers a remarkable safari experience.
DestinationThe Busanga Plains, secreted away in the northern part of the Kafue National Park in Zambia, is one of the most untouched wilderness areas in Africa. Within its quietness, this wetland ecosystem bristles with diverse life that makes for a special safari experience.
