FAQs

What is the best time to go

1 April – 31 November annually. Dec – March is known as the “Green Season” and many of the camps in Lower Zambezi and South Luangwa close down for this season. During these months, Kafue National Park will be used as an alternative destination and a different property in Lower Zambezi to complete the itinerary. Despite the occasional scattered thunder shower, it is a very beautiful time of the year to visit. It is also the main birding season where migratory species can also be seen as well as many baby animals.

Are walking safaris possible with children?

Walking safaris typically have a minimum age requirement of 16 years of age. This is due to the nature of walking safaris, which involve close encounters with wildlife and require a certain level of maturity and physical fitness. However, specific age restrictions can vary by lodge and some lodges will allow walking from the age of 12.

Is Wi-Fi available at the lodges?

Limited Wi-Fi connectivity at all properties other than Sindabezi/ Tongabezi where connectivity will be better.

Are there any age restrictions for children at these lodges?

This itinerary is suitable for families with children over 12, however, a couple of amendments can easily be made to substitute two of the properties in order to be able to travel with younger children.
