This is the real ‘hakuna matata’ holiday experience! With everything taken care of – from start to finish – private safaris in Africa are a complete retreat for you, your family and friends.
Ready to get travelling? Then, skip the blog and enquire now!
Our private safaris are curated around our exclusive-use villas, family houses and camps that are a welcoming home-away-from-home for small groups visiting Zambia and Malawi. From the lounge and dining areas that invite personal connections, to the swimming pools, gardens and panoramic views that are all yours to enjoy.
You’ll have a team of dedicated staff (chef, housekeeper, butler and nanny), and when you go out into the bush on game drives, boat rides and walking safaris, your private guide will make sure you make the most of your time. Tours of village and conservation projects will be led by those in the know – community leaders, researchers and field-workers.
If you’re not quite ready, carry on reading and scrolling through our galleries to see what our small group trips look like…
Private Safaris in Malawi
Ndomo Private House – Likoma Island, Lake Malawi
Ndomo House is completely exclusive and secluded from the other houses and rooms at Kaya Mawa. In fact, you have the private beach in front of the house all to yourself. It is the ultimate group retreat in itself or as a spot to wind down after private safaris in Zambia. Ndomo sleeps eight people in four bedrooms, three of which are en-suite, and the group can come together in several living areas, including lounges, kitchen and dining room, and three large terraces and a plunge pool.
Private Safaris in Zambia
Tangala Private House – Victoria Falls
Tangala House is a luxurious family home on the banks of the Zambezi River. We understand the need for exclusivity and personalised service while on a group holiday, which is why Tangala has its own game drive vehicle and boat, a chef and waiters, and private guide. The house sleeps eight people in four bedrooms, three with en-suite bathrooms, and a lovely children’s playroom. Along with several living areas, there is a covered veranda leading out to a river-facing garden, swimming pool and terrace with picnic table.
Sindabezi Island Camp – Victoria Falls
Sindabezi Island can be booked out by families or small groups who would like to holiday on the Zambezi River in absolute privacy and peace. The entire island sleeps a maximum of just 10 people in five open-fronted Chalets, each with its private patch of river shoreline. There are several areas around the island for indoor and outdoor lounging and dining, as well as more secluded spots for couples to steal away together.
Chisa Busanga Camp – Busanga Plains, Kafue National Park
Chisa Busanga is defined by the four human-sized Nests that stand four metres off ground, offering expansive views of the enchanting Busanga Plains. Wooden steps lead up to the luxury suite, which can sleep two in either a twin or king-sized bed configuration. Each has a modern en-suite bathroom with an indoor/outdoor shower as well as a lounge and private outdoor deck.
Shawa Luangwa Camp – South Luangwa National Park
Shawa Luangwa is an intimate African bush camp with five luxury safari tents that overlook the Luangwa River. Stairs lead up to a private wooden deck and A-frame canvas tent with a drop-deck bathtub that looks out across the South Luangwa wilderness. Bed configuration in the tents is flexible, allowing for either double or twin, which makes them ideal for a group of friends travelling together. What’s more, two of the five two-sleeper tents can be converted into a spacious family tent.
So now that you’ve got a better idea of what our private safaris in Africa are all about, you can make an enquiry or booking for your exclusive holiday in Zambia and Malawi.
